Metaphos line materials for iron-phosphating
Metaphos line materials are applied for generation of the iron-phosphate layer on the metal surface, that improves adhesion of the paint and varnish coatings (PVC) and increases the corrosion resistance of the "conversion surface-PVC" system.
Metaphos line materials are divided into the following subcategories:
1. Powder and liquid materials
2. For generating of the thin (up to 0,4 g/m2) and thick (0,4-0,9 g/m2) iron-phosphate layer
3. For spray and immersion application
4. Low-temperature (operate at the environment temperature) and heating requiring (40-60 °C)
5. Helium-containing and standard liquid materials
Choice of the material depending on the required corrosion resistance:
Depending on the required corrosion resistance Metaphos line materials are divided into the following subcategories:
-Thin-coat iron-phosphate. In combination with the quality painting it provides the corrosion resistance for 250 hours maximum in the salt-fog chamber. It is applied to prepare the surface for painting in production of lamps, metal fittings and other products, that is used in the room without the corrosive mediums stress.
- Thick-coat iron-phosphate. In combination with the quality painting it provides the corrosion resistance up to 400 hours in the salt-fog chamber. It is applied to prepare the surface for painting in production of fitments for kitchens, bathrooms and other products for usage indoors or out-of-doors.

Preparation before painting of aluminium and galvanized steel
In case if there are no special requirements to the corrosion resistance of the final product, it is allowed to apply all Metaphos line materials for preparation before painting of aluminium and galvanized steel.
In case if the product must be operated out-of-doors or indoors with high corrosion risks (kitchen, bathroom, etc.) fluoride-containing Metaphos line materials are applied.
Advantages of the gel-containing Metaphos line materials
The main advantage of the gel-containing Metaphos line materials is the presence of the special gel additive in the composition, that changes the phosphate slime structure and essentially simplifies cleaning of the equipment from slime.
Application of the Metaphos line materials in the technology of simultaneous degreasing and phosphating
All Metaphos line materials can be not only applied in technological succession "degreasing - rinse - phosphating", but also perform the functions of degreasing and phosphating in one stage.
In case of need of degreasing capacity improvement it is possible to apply Metaphos line boosters of degreasing effect.
